Dear Ron Weber Prayer Warriors,
This letter is long overdue. Please forgive my busy schedule in neglecting to write recently. However, I trust all of our supporting churches and individuals did receive a packet of a picture of our extended family with two letters of our ministries during our seven months back in Brazil.
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.” Proverbs 25:11
I trust I can write to paint a vivid picture for you what God is doing in Brazil.
Ron spent three weeks in March in the states. He spoke in six churches and participated in another churches mission’s conference. He traveled many miles, but God gave protection. Ron also met with a professor from Bob Jones University concerning his two large papers for his Master’s degree. He did manage to visit some family and friends. God used Ron as he challenged Christians for missions. Several Christians felt led by the Spirit to go to the altar, giving their lives to God for His service.
While Ron was ministering in the states, Kathleen was serving the Lord in Brazil. She encourages Brazilian pastor’s wives with phone calls and letters. Kathleen also went to Mossoro with James and Esther for spring break. She made many visits, taught Sunday school and met with several ladies for discipleship.
The Bom Pastor congregation continues to grow. Pastor Ed and his wife Sandra are a big help as they have come to join the team in the ministry there. Sandra is proficient in sign language so ministers to the deaf. Pastor Ed is training the people and does extensive evangelism. We look forward when we will move back to Mossoro to be involved more actively in the ministry there.
Right now God has placed us in Fortaleza where Ron has evangelistic meetings nearly every weekend. God is blessing with souls saved and Christians dedicating their lives to serve Christ. Praise His name!
Soon after Ron’s arrival back in Brazil on March 26, Ron and Kathleen took care of their two grand children for ten days while Julio and Kristina went to Equator for an Awana meeting. It was fun, but lots of work. We were exhausted after the ten days.
Praise God for this Easter season when we can remember the death, burial and resurrection of our Savior. Kathleen has gone to a ladies retreat at Iguatu camp. She will have many opportunities to minister to the ladies. Ron is at home keeping things going with the family.
Thanks so much for your faithful gifts and prayer support.
Love in Christ, Ron and Kathleen Weber and family
